framerate overlay stays on?

When running at 4k120 the "zisworks.com M Hz MAX: 120" overlay in the top left stays on.
I have seen this appear on startup and resolution changes, but it usually goes away once framerate stabilizes.

Mine just stays on permanently. I don't have flicker, framerate min and max are both 120Hz.

Is there a button combination I need to press to clear it?
Thanks

Some fw versions can have the osd stick on somethimes.  only fix is to update fw which needs a jtag programmer or  turn it off and on again when it sticks.

Is this what I need to update the firmware? I think you sent this to me years back.

No, this is a USB UART for updating the microcontroller firmware.

https://store.digilentinc.com/jtag-hs3-programming-cable/ plus an adapter from 14pin jtag to 6pin jtag.

If you are in the USA, can lend you one.

I'm also having this issue every now and then; I do have a jtag adapter, this one is a flyswatter2 with the 'standard' 20 pin connector. would that be usable?

If you can use your JTAG programmer to load a firmware to the FPGA which then writes the actual firmware to the SPI flash, then yes.  Vivado does this for you automatically if you have a supported JTAG adapter.   I have no experience with flyswatter2 and a quick search shows it doesnt seem to be supported in vivado, so no unless you know otherwise.
