So... what's next on the drawing board? :)

OLED 1000Hz panel with 100us G2G? DP 1.4?

I'm working on some DP1.4 stuff in 'the lab', but no new products right now.

According to this:

Oled panel costs could be coming down drastically. Maybe in 2-3 years there could actually be a project for the best oled monitor ever

A 480hz+ @1080p Monitor would be the dream!

Once it gets released later this year, could you look into what the price is on the panels for LG's new 48" OLED? I see they are selling them to Sony for use in their TVs and the LG 48" is supposed to be lower cost.  If it turns out the panels cost "only" around $400 or something with a big enough order, maybe you could look into a new project with HDMI2.1 and these oled panels?

$$$ is not the problem, its finding a new problem to solve and dedicating the time to do it.

Personally, I think there is a problem in that the market has a complete lack of OLED gaming monitors. I think just about everyone would love to get their hands on a high refresh, 4k, oled panel that isnt too big. Im hoping that one of the "interesting panels" from LG you were talking about is the new 48" OLED. LG is launching their 48" OLED in June:

OLED48CXPUB

48-inch class (47.5 inches diagonal)

$1,499

Available June 2020

So hopefully around then raw panels will be available for others to purchase for building new displays. Maybe that panel paired with HDMI2.1 and 240hz? Or whatever the highest Hz we can do with the bandwidth available :)
