Hi,

After a recent upgrade to an RTX3090 (from a GTX1080), the screen only shows an image once booted into Windows. I can enter the bios before that, but the screen stays black (and off, as far as I can tell). If I connect a standard 1080p monitor via HDMI, the bios and post is visible.

I've switched back once to the GTX1080 and the bios/post was visible again.

Could it be that the new 3090 series graphics card lacks support for tiled-DP-mode on lower resolutions or am I missing something?

Kind regards,

Maarten.

Does it work in 1080p240 mode?

I don't have a 3000 series card to test with yet.

Hi Zis,

When I get home tonight I'll check it out. It seems to be a graphics card issue as I didn't have a problem with an older generation card. Or perhaps it is card-specific, I'm running a Zotac 3090.

Well, I am unable to get an image in the post. I've tried every mode, but no active pixels, whatsoever in post/bios. For now this is fine for me as I can easily connect another monitor. however, if anyone else has a 3000 series nvidia card and can confirm my findings, that would be great :)

I'm able to use my x28 samsung in the bios with my 3090 FE card. No issues here and on the latest driver.
