To celebrate the announcement of her brand new album, Sling, Clairo has revealed the project’s first single, “Blouse.” Sling will see its global release on July 16 via FADER Label/Republic Records.

Written and recorded in up-state New York at Allaire Studios, Sling was co-produced by Clairo and Golden Globe/GRAMMY Award-winning producer Jack Antonoff and was announced last night following Clairo’s live performance of “Blouse” on NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The singer-songwriter also shared the album artwork along with the announcement that in addition to FADER Label, she has since signed a worldwide deal with esteemed label giants Republic Records.

The track begins with Clairo’s signature guitar strumming, light yet confident, evoking a campfire gathering or a jam session in your parents’s cabin. Her voice effortlessly floats atop this foundation, churning out effortlessly catchy harmonies that blend sharp observations with poetic descriptions. The track slowly introduces a suite of gorgeously arranged strings, giving the song depth and layers betraying a new approach from Clairo.
