CONTRACTS

ARMY

CIVIL WORKS - NON MILITARY

J. A. Jones Construction Co. and Guy F. Atkinson Construction Co., a
joint venture, Charlotte, N.C., is being awarded a $1,400,000
increment as part of a $186,124,143 firm-fixed-price contract for
construction of the Montgomery Point Lock and Dam. Work will be
performed at White River, Desha County, Arkansas, and is expected to
be completed by Feb. 28, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the
end of the current fiscal year. There were 158 bids solicited on April
7, 1997, and five bids were received. The contracting activity is the
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Little Rock, Ark., (DACW03-97-C-0025).

NAVY

Day and Zimmermann Services, Greenville, S.C., is being awarded a
$19,477,162

firm-fixed-price, indefinite-quantity, award-fee contract to provide
all management, labor administration, supervision, materials,
supplies, and equipment to provide base operation and maintenance
services at the Naval Air Station, Fallon, Nev. This contract includes
options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this
contract to $96,935,821. Work will be performed in Fallon, Nev., and
is expected to be completed by September 1998. Contract funds will
expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was
competitively procured with 270 proposals solicited and five offers
received. The Engineering Field Activity West, Naval Facilities
Engineering Command, San Bruno, Calif., is the contracting activity

(N62474-96-D-6061).
