AIR FORCE
Boeing North America, Ft. Walton Beach, Fla., is being awarded a
$20,925,336 face value increase to a cost plus fixed fee contract to
provide for interim contractor support from April 1997 through March
1998 for the AC-130U aircraft. Contract is expected to be completed
March 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current
fiscal year. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force
Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-94/C-0047, P00024).
Rockwell Collings, Inc., Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is being awarded a
$5,663,631 face value increase to a firm fixed price contract to
provide for 250 Miniaturized Airborne Global Positioning System
Receivers (MAGR) and 133 MAGR mounts in support of various aircraft.
The work will be performed at Rockwell Collins, Inc., Coralville,
Iowa. Contract is expected to be completed May 1998. Contract funds
will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Approximately
4% of this effort supports foreign military sales to Singapore and
Korea. Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles, Calif., is the
contracting activity (F04701-91/C-0003, P00059).
Cubic Defense Systems, San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a
$7,964,382 face value increase to a cost plus incentive fee contract
to provide for interim contractor support from April 1997 through
March 1998 for the repair for Surveillance and Control Data Link
(SCDL) Prime Mission Equipment in support of the Joint Surveillance
Target Attack Radar System (JSTARS) on the E-8C aircraft. Contract is
expected to be completed July 1999. Contract funds will not expire at
the end of the current fiscal year. Warner Robins Air Logistics
Center, Robins Air Force Base, Ga., is the contracting activity

Hunt Building Corporation, El Paso, Texas, is being awarded a
$12,534,138 firm fixed price contract to provide for design and
construction of 90 units of military family housing at McChord AFB,
Wash. The work will be performed at McChord AFB, Washington. Contract
is expected to be completed November 1998. Contract funds will not
expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 105 firms
solicited and 3 proposals received. Solicitation began October 1996;
negotiations were completed March 1997. Human Systems Center, Brooks
Air Force Base, Texas, is the contracting activity (F41622-97/C-0015).
GEC-Marconi Electro Optical Overseas, Ltd., Middlesex, England, is
being awarded an $11,662,303 cost plus award fee contract to provide
for contractor logistics support from April 1997 through March 1998
for the All Light Level Television system on the AC-130U aircraft.
Contract is expected to be completed March 1999. Contract funds will
not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was one firm
solicited and one proposal received. Solicitation began May 1996;
negotiations were completed February 1997. Aeronautical Systems
Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting
activity (F33657-95/C-0072).
Gulfstream Aerospace Corp., Savannah, Ga., is being awarded a
$66,892,392 firm fixed price contract to provide for two Gulfstream
GIV-SP executive aircraft, associated spares, logistics, support
equipment, and training. Contract is expected to be completed
September 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the
current fiscal year. There was one firm solicited and one proposal
received. Negotiations were completed March 1997. This effort supports
foreign military sales to Egypt. Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center,
Tinker Air Force Base, Okla., is the contracting activity
(F34601-97/C-0244).
ARMY
United Defense LP, Ground Systems Division, York, Pa., is being
awarded a $16,929,300 modification to a firm fixed price contract for
24 Field Artillery Ammunition Support Vehicles (FAASVs). Work will be
performed in York, Pa., and is expected to be completed by April 30,
1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal
year. This is a sole source contract initiated on April 5, 1996. The
contracting activity is the U.S. Army Tank-automotive & Armaments
Command, Warren, Mich. (DAAE07-96-C-X175).
Lockheed Martin Vought Systems, Grand Prairie, Texas, is being awarded
a $15,632,357 modification to a cost plus fixed fee contract to
exercise the option for Multiple Launch Rocket System industrial
engineering services for CY97. Work will be performed in Dallas, Texas
(90%); Teterboro, N.J. (5%); and Norwalk, Conn. (5%), and is expected
to be completed by March 31, 1998. Of the total contract funds,
$745,891 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a
sole source contract initiated on Nov. 20, 1995. The contracting
activity is the U.S. Army Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala.

GTE Government Systems Corp., Communications Systems Division,
Taunton, Mass., is being awarded a firm fixed price requirements
contract (appropriation number and dollar value will be issued with
each delivery order) with a cumulative total of $53,625,000 (basic
year ceiling estimate) for Tactical Switch Requirements Compact
Digital Switches, Switch Multiplexer Units, Line Termination Units,
Single Row Nest, Ancillary Equipment, and spares used in the
AN/TTC-39A/D and TTC-39E family of switches. Work will be performed in
Taunton, Mass., and is expected to be completed by March 21, 2000.
This is a sole source contract initiated on Dec. 21, 1995. The
contracting activity is the U.S. Army Communications and Electronics
Command, Ft. Monmouth, N.J. (DAAB07-97-D-F758).
GTE Government Systems Corp., Taunton, Mass., is being awarded a
$10,334,245 increment as part of a $115,472,453 firm fixed price
contract for common hardware/software, software maintenance, software
license for various computers, and computer parts. Various hardware
and software items are purchased from this contract to fulfill the
requirements for different customers in support of the common
hardware/software (CHS-2) program. Work will be performed in Taunton,
Mass., and is expected to be completed by April 30, 1999. Of the total
contract funds, $651,608 will expire at the end of the current fiscal
year. There were 50 bids solicited on April 21, 1993, and three bids
were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army
Communications and Electronics Command, Ft. Monmouth, N.J.
(DAAB07-94-C-N853).
Roy McGinnis & Co. Inc.*, San Antonio, Texas, is being awarded an
$8,221,071 firm fixed price construction contract to upgrade Recruit
Dormitory Building 5570. Work will be performed at Lackland Air Force
Base, Texas, and is expected to be completed by April 17, 1998.
Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
There were 35 bids solicited on Feb. 25, 1997, and six bids were
received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of
Engineers, Ft. Worth, Texas (DACA63-97-C-0021).
Oakridge Builders, Inc., Tulsa, Okla., is being awarded a $5,452,941
firm fixed price contract for general and applied instruction and
testing facilities, consisting of renovation of three buildings for a
total of approximately 42,600 square ft. and construction of a new
15,000 square ft. steel-frame insulated building. The project includes
addition of 45 parking spaces, HVAC and fire protection renovation,
lighting, and asbestos and lead based paint abatement. Work will be
performed at the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant, Oklahoma, and is
expected to be completed by May 1, 1998. Contract funds will not
expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 37 bids
solicited on Jan. 16, 1997, and nine bids were received. The
contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Tulsa, Okla.

Caddell Construction Co. Inc., Montgomery, Ala., is being awarded a
$6,817,000 increment as part of a $9,672,000 firm fixed price contract
to clear a woodland site, construct 32 to 42 new two, three, and four
bedroom housing units with necessary roads, curbs, sidewalks and
utility systems. Amenities include air conditioning, garages,
patios/screened porches, masonry and vinyl side walls, gypsum board
walls, ceramic tiles, shingled roofs, landscaping and irrigation
systems, playgrounds, and recreation areas. Work will be performed at
Tyndall Air Force Base, Fla., and is expected to be completed on Aug.
15, 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current
fiscal year. There were 146 bids solicited on Jan 27, 1997, and seven
bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of
Engineers, Mobile, Ala. (DACA01-97-C-0046).
Valenzuela Engineering Inc., Santa Maria, Calif., is being awarded a
$6,172,000 firm fixed price contract to renovate the shop areas of a
large aircraft hangar. Work includes architectural, structural,
mechanical, fire protection, plumbing, major electrical, roofing,
demolition and construction-phasing in an occupied and operational
facility. Demolition includes asbestos and lead-based paint abatement
of Building 1600. The project is a design-build and the contractor
will complete the design and renovate the facility. Work will be
performed at Edwards Air Force Base, Calif., and is expected to be
completed by July 30, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end
of the current fiscal year. There were 16 bids solicited on Dec. 4,
1996, and three bids were received. The contracting activity is the
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento, Calif. (DACA05-97-C- 0090).
Hunt Building Corp., El Paso, Texas, is being awarded an $8,922,622
firm fixed price contract for the demolition of 54 family housing
units, and the design and construction of 54 new housing units. The
units will include garages and patios, kitchen ranges, refrigerators,
washers, dryers, garbage disposals, dishwashers and hard-wired
interconnected smoke detectors, etc. Supporting facilities include
underground utilities and information systems, street lights, paving,
walks, curbs, gutters, open play areas and landscaping. Work will be
performed at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, and is expected to be
completed by Aug. 31, 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end
of the current fiscal year. There were 45 bids solicited on Aug. 20,
1996, and two bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S.
Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Shafter, Hawaii (DACA83-97-C-0012).
Olin Corp., Winchester Division, Independence, Mo., is being awarded a
$37,650,075 modification to a cost plus award fee contract for the
operation and maintenance of a government owned/contractor operated
facility and production of small caliber ammunition to support the
troops in the field. Work will be performed at the Lake City Army
Ammunition Plant, Mo., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30,
1998. Of the total contract funds, $30,000 will expire at the end of
the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on
Jan. 9, 1996. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Armament,
Munitions and Chemical Command, Rock Island, Ill. (DAAA09-91-Z- 0009).

NAVY
Northrop Grumman Corp., Bethpage, N.Y., is being awarded a $70,000,000
letter contract for the integration of cooperative engagement
capability modifications, including mission computer upgrade,
satellite communications, vapor cycle, and navigation upgrade into the
E-2C aircraft. Work will be performed in Bethpage, N.Y. (80%), and St.
Augustine, Fla. (20%), and is expected to be completed by September
1998. Contract funds would not have expired at the end of the current
fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval
Air Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity
(N00019-97-C- 0069).
Lockheed Martin Aeronutronic, Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif., is being
awarded a not-to-exceed $15,020,000 ceiling- priced order for 24 types
of spare parts and seven shipping containers used to support the
F/A-18 Forward Looking Infrared (FLIR) NITE Hawk Pods. This contract
combines purchases for the U.S. Navy (15.3%), and the governments of
Switzerland (77.9%), and Malaysia (6.8%), under the Foreign Military
Sales (FMS) Program. Work will be performed in Rancho Santa Margarita,
Calif., and is expected to be completed by January 1999. Contract
funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This
contract was competitively procured with two proposals solicited and
one offer received. The Naval Inventory Control Point, Philadelphia,
Pa., is the contracting activity (N00383-96-G-001A) (Order 5014).
Morrison Knudsen Corp., North Charleston, S.C., is being awarded a
$2,291,836 modification to previously awarded contract
N62467-93-D-1106 for environmental remedial action which provides for
the decontamination and closure of several process facilities and
temporary hazardous waste storage sites located at the Naval Avionics
Warfare Center, Indianapolis, Ind. The basic total contract amount is
not to exceed $300,000,000. Work will be performed in Indianapolis,
Ind., and is expected to be completed by November 1997. Contract funds
will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval
Facilities Engineering Command, Southern Division, North Charleston,
S.C., is the contracting activity.
OHM Remediation Services Corp., Findlay, Ohio, is being awarded a
$2,885,473 modification to previously awarded contract
N68711-93-D-1459 for environmental remedial action which provides for
all services, labor, equipment and materials required to remediate
various underground storage tank sites at Marine Corps Air Station,
Tustin, Calif. The basic total contract amount is not to exceed
$250,000,000. Work will be performed in Tustin, Calif., and is
expected to be completed by December 1998. Contract funds will not
expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Facilities
Engineering Command, Southwest Division, San Diego, Calif., is the
contracting activity.

Hughes Aircraft Co., Naval and Maritime Systems, Fullerton, Calif., is
being awarded a $9,189,467 modification to previously awarded contract
N00024-96-C-5453 for definitization of items for production and
deployment of Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) MK 1 for LSD 41/49 class
ships. Work will be performed in Fullerton, Calif. (80%), and San
Diego, Calif. (20%), and is expected to be completed by March 1998.
Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.

activity.
Alliant Techsystems Inc., Marine Systems Division West, Mukilteo,
Wash., is being awarded an $11,073,416 modification to previously
awarded contract N00024-95-C-6184 for MK46 Mod 5 Torpedo and ORDALT
Kit material requirements. This contract combines purchases for the
governments of Saudi Arabia (15.7%), and Taiwan (84.3%) under the
Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Program. Work will be performed in
Seattle, Wash., and is expected to be completed by September 1998.
Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
