HONG KONG, April 3 (UPI) - A top Chinese official has tried
(Thursday) to allay fears that China will use heavy-handed tactics to
manipulate the press in Hong Kong after it reverts from British to
Chinese rule this summer. Zeng Zhenhui, director of the State Council
Information Office, said the media's freedoms are guaranteed under Hong
Kong's future mini-constitution.
