Problem. Cyrillic letters with accented (diacritical)

Good day!

 

I have a problem with accented (diacritical) symbols inner a Cyrillic file names.

I unpacked zipped files by Zipeg and I haven’t any problem with that files under Windows OS, but I can’t copy that files on my Samba network resource.

I’ve found out that problem connected with Cyrillic letters with accented (diacritical) symbols. Curiously, names of the problem files show absolutely correctly in Windows Explorer, Total Commander, Far etc. But when I coped the names into Far text editor, I could see that symbols were wrong. See the picture.

Hi Konstantin,

Sorry for the bug. I've just discovered couple of month ago that UTF-8 -> UTF-16 is not 1:1 in regard to "diacriticals".

I am working on it for Mac OSX version and hopefully will back port to Windows too.
