Zipeg extraction not working

Hi I am trying to open a zip file using Zipeg and it looks like it unzips the file, but I can not extract any of the files for use. When I try to extract it says, "Unsupported method of compression?" I am not sure what exactly this means, so any help would be great!
FYI: I am using a Mac 10.6.8
