Hi Zipeg folk,

I am trying to open a password protected, zipped file on Mac OS
10.5.8. I, of course, have the password. I tried opening it with the
basic Mac Archive Utility, UnRarX, Zipeg (of course) and directly
through the terminal. All failed. Zipeg gives the error message:

'Failed to extract file "name_of_file.sav" Data error (wrong
password?) extracting item "name_of_file.sav".

When I try it in the terminal window, I get the message:
Skipping 'name_of_file.sav' unsupported compression method 99.

From looking up this compression method 99, it seems to be a recent
AES encryption method for Windows. So three questions:
1) Does Zipeg support this encryption method?
2) If so, do you have any other ideas why I might be getting that
error message?
3) If not, do you know of any software for macs that can be used to
unzip this type of file?

Many thanks,
Jennie

Hi folks,
Is this 99 method the same as the .mpz file extension. If so, I second
the motion, otherwise a request for extending this beautiful little
program. Thank you for bringing it to us.
Thanks,
Henk
