I disabled the Intel HD 4000 driver in Device Manager, but it didn't work. I searched for a setting in the BIOS, but there was none. The Nvidia driver is 100% up to date. The laptop is in high performance mode and plugged in. The OS is Windows 8.1

I just upgraded my Windows 7 Pro with a fresh install of Windows 10 Pro. The Quadro 4000 driver that was installed by Windows during the installation was Nvidia v376.84. I then installed Media Composer 2018.12. On startup, MC tells me that the Nvidia v376.84 is not supported for the Quadro 4000, and I need to install v353.82. I downloaded the Nvidia v353.82 driver (an .exe file) which states it's for Windows 10 Pro. However, when I try to install this driver, the Nvidia installer tells me the driver isn't compatible with my operating system. Go figure! I tried rolling back the current driver to the 353.82 version in Windows 10, but the procedure doesn't recognize the 353.82 .exe file that I downloaded.

Thanks, Marianna. I'm now on Windows 10 and found the Nvidia driver v390.77. When I attempt the driver installation, the install stops and I'm told that "The graphics driver couldnot find compatible graphics hardware." I assume, from this, that this driver won't work with the Quadro 4000. Do you know if this is correct? I'd rather not have to buy another graphics card. :-(

I'm glad you got it working. I had some similar problems with Dell's drivers on a K4000M (in an M6600 laptop) also. It either said my computer or OS was not compatible and even if I tried installing the chipset and intel drivers first also, it still had errors. I found that installing the regular (not DCH) Nvidia drivers worked at first but then after restart, the framerate halved and the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter turned into the primary driver being used (2 in the device manager). To fix the problem, I installed Windows 10 64 bit (instead of Windows 7 which didn't allow me to replace the Basic Display Adapter), installed Nvidia Quadro driver 320.86 (it had to be around this version, not the one in Program Files which is newer), replaced the Basic Display/Intel Adapter with the inf file (In C:/NVIDIA/DisplayDriver/320.86/Win8_WinVista_Win7_64/International/Display.Driver/nv_diswi.inf) in Device Manager, disabled driver signature enforcement in advanced startup (this is what allowed the framerate to increase and use the k4000m successfully), deleted the 2nd K4000M in Device Manager, and finally installed the standard (not dch) Nvidia driver again afterwards. It works great now but when switching to the HDMI port or changing the resolution, it changes to the Basic Display Adapter and doesn't work that well (but fortunately I don't need to use the HDMI port or change the resolution so I'm very satisfied). With the K4000m, I'm getting a 70 to 120 FPS framerate on Heaven Benchmark (on 1024x768) and with that basic display adapter, I was getting about 20 to 30 FPS.

Yes I was going to sign up to get Windows 10 but it ran a scan and basically said "Intel HD Graphics 4000 you'll experience problems with your display" I am guessing Intel or Toshiba will not release a Windows 10 driver. I am pretty disapointed since I only bought this computer like 8 months ago I bought Satellite C55-A5100. Anyway around this issue or maybe I will just have to keep Windows 8.1? If anyone has any thoughts or anything that would help that would be great.

But when I clicked Install, the progress wouldn't finish for hours. I subsequently used Intel's own update utility to detect what driver needs to be updated and finished the update. But the windows 10 msg won't go away. I am concerned that it would hold off other future windows 10 updates. Could you guys communicate with Microsoft? Thanks.

My sound has been normal under windows 8.1, but since I upgraded to Windows 10, the volume dropped. Not sure if updating the graphics driver thru Intel Drive Update Utility could also fix the audio driver.

as the title says, I wonder if we have an official or non-official driver for win 7,
Afaik we have the win 7 driver for rtx 3000, so I wonder maybe there is a way to modify it to support rtx 4000 or maybe there is some leaked win 7 driver for the enterprise edition if there is any.

Edit: Just tried Server 2008R2 but it wouldnt accept the driver, the same behavior as Windows 7 pro. Its strange that Server 2012 R2 has official RTX A4000 drivers because its based on Windows 8 but there is no Windows 8 drivers at all for the A4000. There must be a way to get the driver working on Windows 7 though if they are somehow still supporting Server 2012 R2, not sure why it doesnt install manually on Windows 7/2008R2.

I am unable to get audio to work. There is no sound from the speakers or headphones. Device manager shows "This device cannot start. (Code 10)" for High Definition Audio Controller. After reading around in other forums, the audio issue could be related to Intel graphics drivers. I am unable properly install the integrated Intel HD 4000 graphics drivers also.

I tried updating the drivers for the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter to Intel HD 4000 drivers using multiple methods (listed below). In all cases, the drivers are detected but while the drivers are being installed, Windows crashes and automatically reboots.

I think they attempted this in order to install an eGPU but it serves the purpose of allowing the on-board audio to work. The only thing that isn't working on my 2012 non-retina MBP is the on board graphics driver (Intel Graphics HD 4000) which is fine because the NVIDIA drivers work fine (only with the most recent driver patch from December 28, 2018, the "current" drivers from December 12 crash the computer) and allow proper "sleep" which wasn't possible previously.

To install the NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 4000 Video Card driver, download the version of the driver that corresponds to your operating systemby clicking on the appropriate link above. A window should then show up asking you where you would like to save the file. Save the driver file somewhereon your computer where you will be easily able to find it, such as your desktop. Then follow the instructions below corresponding to the file type that youdownloaded

Updated the geforce driver, but no use, tried to update the intel one but failed, is there a way to disable this? bypass the compatibility renderer and work as I used to, the emulator is awful now. Any explanation why that occurred all of the sudden?

i have HP 15-d043se Notebook PC with windows 7 64-bit and i'm having error installing the nvidia geforce 820m graphics driver, i downloaded and installed all drivers (including intel hd graphics 4000) driver from the official hp support site here as you can see in the picture below :

Good news! i just sloved the issue by updating the Bios the graphics card showed up in the device manager as "3D video Controller",then i installed the nvidia driver and it has been seccessfully installed! :))

All I have a HPE DL380 Gen9 server that has the dual Xeon's. I have the GPU riser and the GPU enablement kit for the server. I purchased a Nvidia M4000 from HPE that was listed as the support GPU for this machine. I have Windows Server 2016 installed on the box that is already up and running. I following the instructions that were included in the enablement kit that walk through putting the GPU card and cables. in. I have installed the latest drivers from Nvidia for Server 2016 and M4000. When I open the device manager in Windows there is a Code 43 error that "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems.". I have contacted both Nvidia and HPE who point to each other. I have swapped the M4000 out with a K5000 with no success. I have uninstalled the drivers and used a couple revisions older. There are several cables that came with the enablement kit that I could swap out. But I am completely stumped as what to do next. Has anyone had this issue.

I was able to successfully install Windows 10 using EFI method. After installing Windows 10, I installed the latest v6 of Bootcamp drivers and support software. Everything works except for audio/sound and Intel HD 4000 integrated graphics.

Somewhere in the forums, I read that the audio/sound issue is related to integrated graphics drivers for Intel HD 4000. In the Device Manager, I tried to update the drivers for ""Microsoft Basic Display Adapter" by installing Intel HD 4000 graphics drivers using multiple methods below. In all cases, the drivers are detected but while the drivers are being installed, Windows crashes and automatically reboots.

1) I am still trying to understand what exactly is causing Intel HD 4000 drivers from being installed in the EFI mode? It seems to detect that there is integrated graphics device and its missing the drivers, but upon installing the drivers, the system crashes... Is there no possible way with software modification, driver hacking, or EFI modification to get graphics/audio to work in EFI install of Windows 10 on a PreUEFI model? Is this a hardware issue or there is still hope for a software fix?

4) I did a MBR/BIOS legacy install of Windows 10. Everything including audio works. There is only one issue; I am unable to get integrated Intel HD 4000 graphics to work. In the Device Manager, Intel HD 4000 display drivers are not visible. Only the dedicated GeForce GT 650M drivers are visible. I manually tried to install the Intel HD 4000 drivers, but I am getting an error. Here are more details on the issue: -hd-4000-graphics-device-d rivers-missing-in-windows-10-bootcamp-on-macbook
