Hi All,

Every month I use Zineplla Pro create a PDF magazine from a website I help edit- usually 30 or 40 stories.

In January we had 37 articles but when I preview the 'zine, only the eight most recent appear to work and the remaining 29 simply display the title, with this error message:
"Sorry, an error occured trying to retrieve this document.
Failure when receiving data from the peer"

Any thoughts? This hasn't happened before- with the exception of the occasional article with some dodgy HTML - certainly not on this large scale.

Rob,

I haven't seen this particular error message before. I'm not sure when your eBook was generated. There were some network problems on Sunday. Otherwise if you send me your URL web address I can take a look at it.

Regards, Paul

Hi Paul,

Thanks for this. It is an ongoing problem for us but only with the articles we published in January!

So, any of the articles on this page won't work and give that error message:
http://internationalviewpoint.org/spip.php?rubrique235&debut_articles=10#pagination_articles

I tested these two earlier today:

http://internationalviewpoint.org/spip.php?article3830

http://internationalviewpoint.org/spip.php?article3832

Both were posted on the same day 26th January but the first one does not work whilst the second one (and subsequent ones to date) does!

Basically, all 29 articles between the date range 7th to 26th January give this error.

best,
Rob

Thanks, Rob

I'm not sure if I can help but I will take a look and see if I can provide some insights.

Paul.

Rob,

I looked at your URLs yesterday and they actually seemed to work fine. (I only saw one of those error messages).

Of course, today the cache was returning the wrong content. So in order to temporarily work-around the caching problem one can add an extra parameter to the end of the feed address (e.g. ?extra#1) which will cause zinepal to read the correct content. The result was that this seemed to work fine too.

So in summary, for the moment, I'm not able to determine if or where the problem lies.

Regards,
Paul
