Hello darling zeeny-boppers, 

Thanks to those who made it to class this week for our special guests! We enjoyed hanging out with them and hope it was interesting for those who were there. (It would be cool to see some visual responses to their work...!) To those who couldn't make it, please let us know if you're not going to be coming to class; it's helpful for us and and then you don't get docked!

Also thanks to those who shared some cool arts with the google group, I loved the work that I saw! If you were having trouble using the group, I'm pretty sure all you need to do it search "google groups" and log in, then you should be able to "add new topics" which will then be sent out to all. Let's use it more; we like the sharing and updates that's going on so far. 

Some of the announcements we made in class:

• this Friday is the Bancroft Library zine visit at 2pm! If you can't go please let us know, otherwise we expect to see you there! Steven Black reminds us: there are lockers where you and your students should check knapsacks, etc.  It really helps our security if people only bring in plain sheets of paper for notes, or notebooks that do not have pockets built-in.  Laptops are OK, but without their carrying cases.  The lockers take quarters to operate, which are returned when you retrieve belongings. When students approach the guard station, they should say they have come for the 2PM class in the Krouzian room. Also please look at the info sheet attached to this with all the protocol for the library! (Lots of rules...)
  
• I want to know if you all would be interested in using next week's class to work on our mini-zines at Long Haul Info Shop at 3124 Shattuck since it's our last class before the projects are due. If so we would hold class from 6-8; please reply to us at the zine underground address whether or not this would work for you. 
• also there are a bajillion cool things going on this week/weekend: cartoonist Adrian Tomine at Pegasus in downtown Berkeley this Thursday at 7, the Alternative Press Expo Saturday and Sunday at the SF Concourse Exhibition Center, the opening of the Red Forest Collective Distro this Saturday at 7 at 1670 13th st in West Oakland with lots of zine shit; let us know if you go to any of these events and we miiiiight just give you some extra credittt! 

Sorry for one billion things but it's all cool stuff to know! Work hard on your zines cause they're due soon, we're super excited to see what you've been doing!

Sorry guys! I meant to email you as soon as I got home but I totally forgot, I started getting really sick the night before and then had to take a midterm and then just crashed when I got home. I can't make it 6-8 though because I have class 7-9. Ok.

My apologies for not coming last Tuesday but I went to a sort of impromptu study session for my anthro midterm. I will notify you next time.

I cannot make it to the Bancroft Library this Friday because I have to work.

I am willing to go to the Long Haul next Tuesday, but what exactly is this place?

I'm out for today at the Bancroft. I'm in Wheeler attempting to save my professor's laptop from lost-everything-including-his-manuscript catastrophe. Total chaos up in here.
