Dear Pythonistas,

Greetings to you all! Its been along time since i posted something on this group.

I have some news for you though. We are organizing a one Python event to be held in November this year. We wanted to host a full fledged PyCon but circumstances beyond our control have made this very difficult. We have however settled for a one day mini python summit called PyDay Zimbabwe so that we can meet and mingle as Zimbabwean Pythonistas. If funds are permitting we hope to rope in more experienced pythonauts from outside Zimbabwe for the Keynote speech.

The one day event will mostly be talks on Python and related technologies. I am still working on the possibilities of holding one or two workshops on the same day. We would have loved to hold a second Django Girls Harare workshop, but we are facing challenges.
