The African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF) launches today the second Capacity Survey of the Regional Economic Communities in Africa that aims to reassess the capacity needs of the eight RECs in African Union (AU) member states in line with their new strategic thrusts and prospective development imperatives. It also seeks to provide strategic guidance to the key development partners of the RECs on strategic programming. La seconde étude sur les capacités des Communautés économiques régionales (CER) en Afrique vise à réévaluer les besoins en capacités des huit CER dans les États membres de l’Union africaine, conformément à leurs nouvelles orientations stratégiques et aux impératifs de développement futurs. Elle vise également à fournir des orientations stratégiques aux principaux partenaires au développement des CER sur la programmation stratégique. L’étude reconnaît la nécessité d’avoir des CER efficaces comme étant des institutions de coordination et de facilitation, avec des capacités suffisamment fortes pour permettre de conduire avec succès le programme d’intégration régionale…
