Dear Vulindlela,

INVITATION: Will global goals help us create a fairer and more
sustainable future?
Tuesday 3 September, 3.00-6.30pm, Church House Conference Centre,
Westminster, SW1P 3NZ

We would like to invite you to attend a high-level event hosted by Bond
Beyond 2015 UK and the Institute of Development Studies (IDS) ahead of
the UN Special Event on the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and the
Post-2015 framework.

As world leaders prepare to come together at the forthcoming UN Special
Event in New York, this timely event will bring together civil society,
academia and policy-makers to examine what has been achieved against
current MDG targets, what remains to be accomplished, and how lessons
from the existing framework can critically inform our approach to
development beyond 2015.

We are delighted to confirm that Secretary of State, Justine Greening,
will attend and address the meeting, providing an insight into the UK’s
hopes and ambitions for the forthcoming summit and the ongoing role it
has to play in the post-2015 process. Our other speakers include Dr.
Precious Gbeneol, Senior Special Assistant to the President of Nigeria
on MDGs; Sir Richard Jolly, from the Institute of Development Studies;
as well as representatives from the Beyond 2015 Campaign and from
global civil society. The speeches and panel discussion will be
followed by a short drinks reception.

We would be delighted if you would be able to attend or send a high
level representative from your organisation. Places are limited to one
per organisation and will be allocated on a first come first serve
basis. Please RSVP through filling the form on the Bond website. Please
do not hesitate to contact Mariana Rudge on 020 7520 0250/0277 or
Hannah Corbett on 01273 915640 should you require any further
information.
Yours sincerely,

Ben Jackson                                      Lawrence Haddad
Chief Executive, Bond                     Director, IDS
