Make history on 8 June, Hyde Park
Be part of a brilliant day of action for the Enough Food for Everyone
IF campaign, with big-name speakers including Bill Gates and Graça
Machel, family activities, music and more at the Big IF London on 8
June in Hyde Park.

We will be creating a breath-taking field of flowers representing the
lives of 2 million children who could be saved IF G8 leaders take
action to tackle hunger, and you will be able to add a flower to this
petition on the day. We can make the G8 act to tackle hunger IF we make
enough noise to shake them into action. See what it’s all about in this
video and register now.

There are lots of other IF events kicking off this week too. See
enoughfoodif.org/events for more.

A recipe to end hunger: an integrated approach to tackling malnutrition
Attlee Suite, Portcullis House, Houses of Parliament
7 June 1:00 - 4:30pm
The Enough Food for Everyone IF campaign is hosting a landmark
nutrition event on 7 June, debating their approach, showcasing what
works and hearing from people working in countries with a high burden
of malnutrition to explore the joined-up approach needed to make under
nutrition a thing of the past.

Chaired by Bond's Ben Jackson in his capacity as Chair of the IF
campaign, speakers will include Joyce Banda the President of Malawi.
There will also be five breakout sessions covering agriculture and
gender, fragile states and under nutrition, the impact of climate
change, role of the private sector in tackling nutrition, and biofuels
and their impact on hunger and malnutrition. Please RSVP.

Post-2015 report from UN High Level Panel
The UN High Level Panel presented their report on a post-2015 framework
to UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on 30 May.

In response, Bond’s Chief Executive Ben Jackson said, ‘We welcome the
panel's ambition to eradicate extreme poverty and ensure sustainable
development and we hope that this ambition is matched by UN member
states. The report makes a positive contribution to the next phase of
negotiations. In the coming months we want to see a greater focus on
income inequality.’ Read the Beyond 2015 International Campaign’s press
release for more.

Hi all,

Hope everyone is well.

There are 3 docs attached to this email. The first is ZETs new fundraising strategy, taken from the Action Plan we had to submit to DFID this week.

The second is a To Do List of things which need to be done to meet the fundraising goals in the short term, and in the longer terms what needs to be done to implement the Business/Action plan.

I wont be here next week, but hopefully you can use these two documents in the meeting to plan the groups work for the next couple of months, split up tasks etc., so we can meet the targets/milestones.

The third document is a Standing Order Form if everyone involved with ZET can find at least 4 people to sign-up to donate a minimum of 5 per month through standing order, we can easily cover the trusts running costs (the target is to do get this done by the end of the month!). Then everything raised over and above that can be put to good use in Zimbabwe (the forms need to be completed by the donor and given/posted/emailed to ZET so we can keep a record, then we forward them on to the bank).

Finally, from now on were going to be using Dropbox instead of the SkyDrive to share docs/files etc. Ive set up a Dropbox folder for ZET and moved everything over from the SkyDrive to be able to access it you need to register at https://www.dropbox.com/ then email me (at stuartk...@hotmail.com) and let me know the email address which you used to register, and then I can share the folder with you.

If people arent familiar with how DropBox works, perhaps this could be covered at one of the next meetings?

Regards,

Stuart.

p.s. one of the docs moved over from the SkyDrive was a ZET Contact List, containing volunteers email/mobile numbers. Think it may prove useful at some point for the group to have access to this, but if youd prefer not to share these details let me know and I can remove them.
