Cyclist hit-PLEASE BE CAREFUL

Good morning everyone, 

I was waiting to see if I heard more details before sharing the group, but so I need to share for caution. We got word that a cyclist was killed north of Fabian's house on Fairacres, yesterday early evening, and supposedly the driver left the scene. I spoke with.Kris Koerper immediately, and after a few minutes of panic for both of us, confirmed that Karl was not riding at that time as he usually does on that route. Fabian's neighbor spoke to a deputy and said that it was a 40 something year-old from out of town. Supposedly was a black SUV. Again, this is secondhand information, but want to make sure that everybody is always aware of their surroundings while riding road, especially on Fairacres. Fabian says he always sees a female in a black Escalade speeding and on her phone. Please be careful everyone!

Thanks for the heads up Tammy.  I was driving on south fairacres going south when all the police and emergency services came by going north. I ride on that road a couple of times a week.  Maybe the only safe alternative is to use the ditch bank that parallels the road. Many drivers go pretty fast on that road.  Many vehicles are large and cannot fit within the lane lines making it somewhat dangerous to even drive on south fairacres.

Just came from riding Picacho and Picacho Hills area and saw five DASO units patrolling the area.
