Here is a reminder for all of us to participate on Wednesday, May 20th for the ride of silence.

The ride meets at 6:15 p.m. in the Mesilla plaza and departs at 6:30.

Looking forward to another successful year of recognizing all of our fellow cyclists who may have been injured or killed while riding.

Thank you, David.

Good afternoon, everyone.

Hope summer has been treating you well, and that everyone continues to practice safe and “heads up” riding techniques considering the recent incident.

Wish I could say I was out riding & grinding on my own, but fatherhood, work, and life in general have had different plans for me.

Having said, I am sure many of you are already aware, but our local lady Mrs. Tammy Risner won the UCI Gravel Worlds Qualifier out in Arkansas and is headed to Nannup, Australia for the UCI Gravel Worlds this coming October. Tammy has been a lifelong (since 15) friend, mentor, and riding buddy of mine. Her levels of grit, determination, and willingness to never give up are beyond what it took me to make it into the NFL. I am beyond proud and excited for her to carry our Country and State flags to Australia and will be praying & routing for her continued success from the recent qualifier.

As we are all well acquainted, cycling is not the most economically friendly hobby. Considering this, I have thrown my support behind Tammy and will continue to do so long as I am financially able. Provided the current state of the global and national economy, I don’t expect anybody to go out of their way to equal Cambro’s contribution to Tammy’s endeavor, however, I am 100% certain that she would be thrilled and grateful to have any amount of support from the Zia Velo Cycling Group, Organ Mountain Cycling Group and its respective members. Whether 1$ or 1000$, every ounce counts in helping our lady get out to Nannup to throw down with some of the best from around the World. For electronic donations, please see the GoFundMe link below. For all you old school folks, checks can be mailed to the address below.

Appreciate everyone taking the time to acknowledge this email and hope to catch some of you out on the road again in the future.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the overwhelming support I’ve received and continue to receive to help make my trip to Australia for Gravel Worlds possible. I’m truly grateful and feel incredibly blessed by the many ways you’ve all lifted me up — whether through donations, encouragement, advice, riding with me, or simply believing in me.

I especially want to thank Jerry for always being right by my side through every step of this journey. Your constant presence and support mean more than I can say.

I also want to give a huge thank you to Fabian — without your support, this venture would have been incredibly difficult, if not impossible. I’m so grateful for everything you’ve done.

I’ll be carrying all of your encouragement with me to the start line. My only hope is to make you all proud.

Thank you again — I couldn’t do this without you.

Tammy
