NEWS
NEW TRAIL: Tortugas to Soledad Connector Trail!
Construction on this exciting new trail has begun! The next trail construction day will be Saturday, Nov. 1, at 8am. We will meet at the powerline road on Dripping Springs road and carpool in.
This location is just east of Sheep Springs road. Everyone is welcome to attend and no experience is necessary.
SNMTA will provide tools and direction for construction. We will also provide some gloves and safety glasses if you need them but bring your own if you have them. Bring water, snacks, and anything else you may need for a morning out on the trail. We'll plan
to build trail until around noon.
Please complete this form before you arrive.
The trail will be approximately 3 miles long and will provide a non-motorized route between Las Cruces, NMSU, and Organ Mountains Desert Peaks National Monument (see dashed blue line in map below). This project was made possible through the
New Mexico Trails Plus program and a partnership with the Bureau of Land Management Las Cruces District.
