Does anyone have any actual experience resetting quests with this console command? I'm hoping to be able to re-do the Taste of Death quest. I've only ever killed Eloa on the spot, and never thought to follow it through for any amount of time to root out the cannibal cult she belongs to.
So now I have two active markers for the quest. Because I really enjoyed the quest (which seems to be largely a story based quest), I'd like to start it from scratch so that I can actually follow everything that happened. I got the Quest ID from UESP, and used the console commands to try to reset it.
I recently restarted Skyrim on a PC, straight-up vanilla but with basic patches. Some of my quests have glitched. In "Repairing the Phial" although I obtain the briarheart and it appears in my inventory, it never registers as fulfilling the quest requirement. I am trying "resetquest" and "setstage", but there's no effect.
I encountered an issue that was, apparently, supposed to have been fixed in the 1.4 patch. I had completed "Joining the Stormcloaks" and had begun "The Jagged Crown," and I had gotten the "Seasons Unending" quest from the Greybeards. However, I was unable to start the dialogue with Ulfric and ask him to attend the peace meeting. So I did what any frustrated gal would do, and I googled the problem. The first result I found pertaining to my problem suggested that I use the "resetquest" console command on "The Jagged Crown" quest, so that's what I did, and it worked- I could talk to Ulfric again without him telling me I should be with Galmar.
I'm not given the quest, no matter how many times I use console commands to reset the quest- I even tried changing the stage using the setstage commands, but nada. Nothin. Talking to Galmar gives me the two generic questions that he has as basic dialogue, and it's the same with Ulfric.
Is there any way for me to resolve this issue? No console commands that I have tried are working, and whenever I use that sqv command then it says that it's "stopped" and not enabled. Startquest doesn't work either.
What stage of Jagged Crown were you supposed to be at prior to doing completequest? I'm assuming resetquest put you at stage 0 -- i.e. "I've decided to help the Stormcloaks drive the Empire out of Skyrim. I should talk to Galmar Stone-Fist to get my first assignment." -- but did you successfully do anything after that?
Once you have the quest ID that you are on, you can then use the reset command that we have given you above. Follow that up with the ID of the quest you wish to reset and that should work perfectly for you every time.
Hopefully, this little guide gave you all the info you needed to reset jump between stages in quests. If you are on the lookout for more console commands and guides to get you through some of the harder quests, we would recommend checking out the Steam forums for more advice.
We recently purchased Blades and Sorcery Nomad on our Oculus Quest 2. Since then, it's been "installing", going on several days now. We've tried to cancel the install with no luck on finding a way to do so, refund the purchase via Oculus app, tried uninstalling other games/apps in hopes freeing up space would help with the installation process... Nothing works as far as what would seem a common, simple fix. He's able to play other downloaded games already on his quest but can't do anything else as they become "queued" behind the installation in progress. He's unable to play any online games that's needing updates as they too become queued. Any thoughts or info out there about this...? I figured a factory reset would be the final effort- but would he still be able to redownload purchased games? What all would be lost vs saved in a reset if it were to come to this...?
I don't know why this happens if your oculus account is linked to your Facebook account you can factory reset your quest 2 your games and app will not lose if linked to your Facebook account. but you need to install all games back
It has been an odyssey. My most recent Skyrim save is three years old. I cannot in good conscience pretend to recall what my motivations were the last time I played it - what quests I cared about, what guild or weapon or house I was pursuing. But, for reasons that are part bloody-mindedness and part wincing at the prospect of having to redo so much armour crafting from the start, I have been absolutely determined to get my old saves and characters working in last week's The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition [official site].
You'll see it mention that bloody hundreds of things have been deleted. Yes, there's a chance this might result in a broken or reset quest or lost item, but mostly it should just stop Skyrim SE from trying to load missing mod content. Then head back over to top-right, check the 'Auto Backup' box then click Save. Your problematic save will be overwtitten with a scrubbed copy, but an non-fiddled backup should be created too.
