1/16 dowel

[Mark Hamilton]

Does anyone have a 36" piece of 1/16" dowel that I could get? It seems
that 1/16" is not available at Hobby Lobby or Michaels, and sanding down
a 1/8" piece seems tedious. See you all in little bit.

Dear All,

I am writing on behalf of Tom Beach--he is at the launch field for our regular January launch but the roads and field are very muddy and a hazard for getting cars stuck and for sliding around.  So there will not be a launch today.

Just saw your request. Tower Hobbies has 1/16" x 12" dowel rod, but longer pieces don't seem to be standard. Is it a design detail (for appearance only), or does it need to be functional? Your three footer would be a very long tooth pick, right? Not much strength over a long span. --Jeff

Thanks, Jeff. I'll check out Tower, but I was hoping to find it locally.
I don't actually need a 36" length; I just need to replace the braces on
my Dark Silver, which are only decorative.

12" long, Package of 20 for 6.95

Michaels has 5/64" x 2 5/8", Package of 230 for 2.99

There's a local shop over in/near Hoffmantown Plaza? that should be able to get them if they don't stock it in that back room.

Im not from ABQ. Ron's on it. Hobby Proz is the local shop that I was trying to suggest. Those guys will have ot or get it dor you when they re-supply.
