Job Summary:
Acts as a Senior or Lead Software Design Engineer in a state-of-the-art telecom/datacom/networking equipment development environment. Be responsible for taking a marketing functional requirements and develop top level system requirements and system architecture, task breakdowns, flowcharts, module/task interfaces, low level BSP, drivers as well as baseline setup and development environment. Be responsible for feasibility study and processing power study, module level testing and SW/HW/FPGA integration and testing.
Be able to work with hardware engineers in prototype/system test and debug, version control, software release, manufacturing and customer support.

lResponsible for software/firmware aspects of development project including solving technical issues, meeting project specifications, quality requirements, deadlines and schedules.

Qualification:
BS or MS Degree in Computer Science or related field.
Experience with track records with multi-national telecom/datacom equipment manufacturers.

Deep understanding in microprocessor based real time operating system.
Understand various design and implementation approaches with respective pros and cons.
5+ years experience in real time imbedded system design and development.

Must be willing to take a written test, submit school records and job related references.
Experienced with Linux RTOS used in communications equipment.
Experience with setting up development environment and tools.
C/C++ and object-oriented real time design and programming.
Microprocessor-based (such as PowerPC and StrongArm) real time system design and programming.
Hands-on experience with real time development and debug tools.
Hands-on experience in driver development for integrated circuits and electronic modules.
Hands-on experience with I/O drivers interfacing with hardware, A/D, D/A and other IO drivers/devices.
Familiar with driver interface and API.
Familiar with ITU and /or IEEE standards.
Experience with TCP/IP protocols, Ethernet controllers.
Understanding Java-based software development.
Experience with GUI development and XML.
Experience with network management development.
Experience with system performance analysis and memory management.

lJoint Crashes analysis with ASD SW MIB and Engineering SW MIB.
Qualification
lMore than 2 years Embedded SW, especially Device Driver or Core Level, Development Experiences.
lExperiences on Core SW level troubleshooting are highly preferred.
