Dear ZGAS Board,

I hope you are all doing wonderfully with your preparations for finals.
This semester has been full of excitement with some of us graduating, OCR, and being active with ZGAS.

As you may know, myself, Corina, and David are graduating and ZGAS will
need a new President, VP of Communications, and VP of Technology.

If you have any interest in any of these positions, please send a one-page
proposal to the Board stating why you should be considered. 

If you have questions about the positions, please reach out to myself, Corina, and/or David and we can set up a time to talk.

Please send the proposal to the ZGAS group by Wednesday, November 27th

Dear ZGAS,

I would like to apply for the position of President of ZGAS.  As many of you know, I am currently the Treasurer of ZGAS .  This past semester, I have gotten to understand the dynamics of the organization.  I also recognized and heard about some internal problems.  With that said, I believe we are a cohesive team that works very well together.  I would like to lead this team next semester and restore our reputation as the top organization with recruiters, students, and faculty of Baruch.

I would like to apply for the secretary of ZGAS. I joined the internal committee this semester and actively participated in the Mentor-Mentee Event. I saw through this event a great ZGAS team and I am very lucky to be part of it. I want to learn more about ZGAS and how we organize events, and would like to take on more responsibilities.

Dear ZGAS Board Members,
 
It's been my pleasure to work with everyone of you, and I appreciate your enthusiasm for completely "owing" the events hosted by ZGAS by taking on the roles that weren't necessarily assigned to you!
 
I'm confident that everyone who has decided to step up and take a greater leadership role deserves it 100%! That is one of the reasons why I have decided to give up my VP of Events position so that there is an additional opportunity for you to shine for yourself and in front of other Board members and company representatives and recruiters attending future events. There are a number of great Spring-semester events which I would be happy to assist with, so please feel free to reach out to me with any questions about prior events and/or with any future volunteering opportunities/needs.
 
For those of you who are interested in running for the VP of Events position, you might also want to consider attending tomorrow's meeting with Ellen King to get a better idea of the Spring semester events and to contribute your ideas.

Hello Fellow ZGAS Board Members,

I would like to run for the VP of Events as it is now open.  Being part of the Mentor-Mentee Committee was a huge learning experience and as I will be here for at least 2 more semesters I would like to take this experience and use it on future ZGAS events.

Also, it was previously brought up that my current position VP of Alumni Relations may no longer be needed as the project the original members of this committee were working on has been completed - after serving as this VP for the past semester I wanted to open this topic for discussion. 

Now that we are done with compiling the alumni list it seems many of the current duties overlap with Communications such as posting to the ZGAS Alumni LinkedIn group or IT/Communications - such as adding new alumni to appropriate email lists and maintaining a current list of alumni, their svc lines, place of work and contact information to serve as our pool of professionals we invite to future events.

I believe it would be best to have clear cut roles within the different committees without much overlap to reduce redundancy and promote efficiency within the club.  Why have 2 VPs and their Committees maintain different email lists when one committee can handle this?  Also the ZGAS Alumni Group could be handled by marketing, events, communications etc depending on the message we want to get out to our alumni.

We will have the board elections on Tuesday, December 10th at 12:30pm.  Everyone who wants to run for a position should be there.  If there are any concerns, please address it at the meeting.  If you can't make it to the meeting but would like to run for a position, please email the group.

Michael is working on getting the club room for us to use.  He will email the group once it's confirmed.

The Club Room is booked for December 10th at 12:30.  I don't have the exact room number but is just across the hall from the Board Room (on the 3rd floor) where he had prior meetings. If someone runs by and sees the room number, can you please let everyone else know?  Thanks.

Hey all,

I really REALLY wanted to make it to tomorrows election but unfortunately, I ended up not being able to get off work...

I wanted to add that Ben has my full support in running for VP of IT. I've spoken to him numerous times and he has been very eager to improving the website. I will also be working with him even after I pass on the baton if he is elected as VP of IT.

Dear All,

I won't  be able to attend today's election because of work, but is wondering if I still have chance to apply for the Treasurer position since Charles is running for the President?

 

I joined in the ZGAS team since Spring 2013 first as a member in the inner committee Event Planning, then switched to Treasurer this semester. I enjoyed working with everyone and gained valuable experiences from verious ZGAS events. Spring 2014 will be my last semester at Baruch. I would like to contribute more to our team and physically will have more time available for commitment. In addition, Charles has told me all the basics for reimbursement and other responsibilities expected from a Treasurer. I believe these will help me learn the ropes more quickly.

Doesn't look like I'm gonna be able to get to school due to busy work schedule... 

As far as I remember there were no more than one applicant per position, so, if remote voting is allowed, then I give my vote to everyone who has applied.
