Subject: Invitation to Zicklin Conversations
Dear YI,
Last semester we hosted our second enrollment conversion event, Zicklin Conversations for newly admitted graduate students. The event was a tremendous success and we are proud to report that 73% of the new admits that attended enrolled for the fall 2013 semester. The attendees also provided feedback which we would like to share with you:
Q: Did the Zicklin Conversations event meet your expectations?
§ “The event exceeded my expectations. It is very helpful to have advisory departments that can help with choosing career paths and choosing courses. The Subotnick Center provides workshops with financial software which is an extremely useful skill to have in today's financial world.
§ “Yes, it was very helpful.”
§ “It met my expectations. Going into the event, I wanted to find out what school sponsored organizations & resources are available. I learned about a number of them and got to chat with some of the current students.”
§ “After talking with the current students, I have a better understanding of Zicklin Community. Also, I have learnt how to prepare to be successful in my program.”
Q: What did you enjoy about this event?
§ “The event was a pleasurable experience as it was not too crowded; was able to maneuver and speak with every club. The food and refreshments were a plus.”
§ “The staff & current students there were approachable.”
§ “People's willingness to listen and answer questions”
§ “The welcoming staff and friendly students”
§ “This event was an open forum to build connections with Zicklin Community, so it was very comfortable for me to talk with current students and professors. I really enjoyed the freedom and harmony of this event.”
YOUR participation is what makes this event a success. Therefore, we are reaching out to again request your involvement and assistance. The goal for this event is to create a fuller awareness of the services and facilities available to our new students. We also hope the evening will provide an opportunity for our new students to make invaluable connections with members of the Baruch community.
