I have a ZFS pool setup on a Mac Pro 1,1 server. I did not want to risk running Mavericks on it, so I purchased a Mac Mini to serve as the "head" of my server. The Mac Pro and Mini are connected to each other over a dedicated LAN (crossover cable) and I want to be able to access the data from the Mini for things like iTunes.

I thought I would be able to use AFP for this. But now I am finding that AFP will not see my ZFS pools. How can I access the ZFS pools from the Mini over the network?

Put your Mac Pro into Target Disk Mode and connect it to your Mac Mini via FireWire 800?

Can we assume your utilizing the old MacZFS? A command exists to see all shares, should be in the wiki. I'm on an island on vacation with very pitiful bandwidth or I would search for it. ;)

Yes, "stable" MacZFS on Lion. I ended up using AFP Liberate which fools AFP into thinking ZFS is HFS and allowing it to be shared. Works perfectly so far. Even allows for /Volumes/<Mount> hierarchy to be used.

Yup that'll do it. Enjoy.

I do recommend the new OSX ZFS though, makes life easier.
