I'm not sure it's fair to pin this one on Apple. There are several
other courses TC could have taken with their product development and
release, and I don't see evidence that all of them would have met the
same fate just because you can't use ZFS for root.

I used ZFS effectively on Solaris for years before ZFS root was an
option, and I use ZFS on Linux now without ZFS root. If TC had to fold,
it's because they had a failed business. They don't (necessarily) have
a product with no market, they simply failed to insert their product
into that market.

Not sure?  So maybe there's a chance that it's okay to interpret the alleged nonexistence of our entire group, and the successful sale and increase of engineering resources of ZEVO, as a failure?  And that maybe there's a chance that it's all the fault of another company from several years ago?

This is absolutely trash trade rag sensationalist journalism.  This was purely false flamebait nonsense, period!  Why even read it, let alone pass it on and get everyone mad, if you're not going to leave a comment on the article to inform them that we exist?

Just someone looking for attention. Ignore, move along, nothing to see here.

Will do!  Now that I've left a little note.

MacZFS is ignored again. Thanks, trade rag journalism! http://maczfs.org/
I honestly cannot believe that there can be people who 1) spend any effort at all to follow the concept of ZFS on Mac OS, and 2) who don't know that it's FREE SOFTWARE which has been maintained and working perfectly fine ever since Apple left it. I don't understand how those two concepts fail to coincide. In this case, it's obvious flamebait, and is the reason why AdBlock exists.

Come and get some free ZFS on Mac OS.
