zfs-fuse on mac os?

Hello.

Since there is FUSE for Mac OS I wonder if it is possible to compile
and run zfs-fuse on Mac OS. Has anybody yet done this or tried it?

No, not yet, but we are certainly welcoming any attempts to do so, and
to include any improvement to ZFS-FUSE that may result from that
attempt.

Actually there wouldn't be any improvement for zfs-fuse, the zfs version for mac os x is very old, but it's a kernel version (it does not even support snapshots if I remember correctly...).

The problem here is fuse obviously, it's not exactly the same version for mac os x I heard. But it's worth trying to compile it anyway, I'll probably try that soon, no guarantee though.

My point is that with help, it may be worthwhile to have zfs-fuse also
compile on MacFUSE. Win for the Mac guys, win for us.
