Question about Zend Form Select

Hello,

I got question about zend form elements that have predefined values, like select, checkbox, radio. Do we need to add input filters and validators? For example, if someone edit values for the select or inject some dangerous code? I tried to modify the input values and I got a "The input was not found in the haystack" message, but can I be sure that it will be working like that always? For any kind of data?
