like IKEA light bulbs for example?

Short answer yes. 

Long answer yes but as a developer you need to create a IKEA light bulb scout/driver. For example we built one for the Phillips Hue light bulbs see: https://github.com/zettajs/zetta-hue-driver

Ok, so does this mean that using the driver  https://github.com/zettajs/zetta-hue-driver installed with my Zetta server that if I plug in a Phillips Light bulb that my server will auto detect it?

It should. See the wiki bit about scouts here: https://github.com/zettajs/zetta/wiki/Scout

I believe the code for this is in hub.js in the Hue driver, but haven't looked at it closely myself.
