License is MIT: See https://github.com/zettajs/zetta/blob/master/LICENSE

DB is backed by a KV store written in native Node.js to allow it run anywhere Zetta does. See https://github.com/medea/medea However it can be swapped with other KV stores like LevelDB or even SQLite. See: https://github.com/zettajs/zetta-leveldb-registry and https://github.com/zettajs/zetta-sqlite-registry

Thanks for the prompt reply . Now comes the other question , what about scaling ? assuming if zetta is used in an application that is offered under saas model with hundreds or thousands of devices - at a minimum 10 or 15 behind a single access point or two access points which are forming a rf mesh with multiple users ..

There is no default horizontal scaling solution out of the box with Zetta. There's a number of ways to do it depending on your tenancy requirements. No OSS out of the box solution i can just point you to though.

This was the core of what we sold as part of Apigee Link an enterprise version of hosting/scaling Zetta.
