Hi Nick, I've been quite busy the last few days and cannot remember if I
answered your last posting - now my system has deleted them and our
conversation has been cut off in mid-air!

I think I was expressing a feeling that everyone worldwide can read what we
post here on zetnet yet it's just we who are posting. Kind of gives one the
feeling that we are the only two alive.

BTW, I have been lurking in on Demon.Local. My ISP apparently allows the
connection. Some friends of mine have advised me that discussions there can
get kind of raw. Oh how I wish that zetnet would again be open to all. I
wonder if the spam that many complained about had significantly deminished
since closing the ng.

Strange comment Nick - seems cryptic. I used to be a zetnutter until about
six months ago and enjoyed the banter in "the local".

Thought I would drop in again when I found I had access on the pipex server.
Where have all the others gone. Have they really closed the group? Can't
believe it!!

Hi Gordon, yes zetnet has closed the group because there apparently was a great
deal of spam being sent to the members. Many members had complained about the
spam. Strange as it may seem, when zetnet closed the group it left this ng
channel open and still useable. It's unfortunate zetnet resorted to such
drastic means of controlling spam cause it in effect locks the zetnet users
behind a wall. While others can't get in, they can't get out though the ng. I
don't know how many of the users feel about this situation but if I were a
zetnet user I would resent being placed behind a wall. There is so many things
to learn from people worldwide that I would feel zetnet was doing a disservice
to it's members by keeping the ng communication system blocked. Oh well, if
the users don't care, I guess we shouldn't either.

All zetnet ng's are now no longer propagated, so only zetnutters have
access to them.
Most seem to think this is a Good Thing.

Seems strange that most would think it a good idea cause it places them behind a
firewall.

You should know that the owner of the IP server is a blind Buddhist who
would not like his folk to wander around in case they get lost or leave
him.
