this is the message I get every time I attempt to open a an es.resx file.  

I have the english version and the espanol version of what I'm attempting to translate.  The English opens just fine, but the es file keeps giving me the error listed in the title.

any insights as to how to open this and not lose my work would be greatly appreciated.
