Subject: Join us for the Unite for Climate March on Saturday, May 3

Dear Richard,

We invite Zero Waste to join the Unite for Climate March through downtown San Diego on Saturday, May 3, to show that local and state officials must stand up for climate action and climate justice as federal policies shift backwards.

Along with SanDiego350, a broad coalition planning the march includes the local Sierra Club chapter, American Federation of Teachers Guild 1931, the Interfaith Coalition for Earth Justice, Surfrider San Diego, and others. We’ll have a program of speakers, tabling events, and a march from Waterfront Park along Broadway and back.

As a partner, we would ask you simply to spread the word about the event, through email, social media, and your organization events. (We can supply sample emails, social media messages, flyers, posters, and speakers from SanDiego350.)  Other ways to support the action include:

  • Joining one of the working groups (promotion, outreach, volunteer coordination, and logistics), contact em...@sandiego350.org;
  • Financial sponsorship (your logo will be featured on the march website).

Please let us know how you choose to support the march by filling out this 5-minute form

Benefits for Supporting Organizations:

  • Name listed on the march website
  • Opportunity to table at the event
  • Option to march together as a cohort

Should you be interested, we’ll follow up soon with a one-pager and sample materials to help spread the word. Thanks so much for your support—we look forward to marching together!

Best,
Lisa Eyler
