My only thought is possibly switching your Guest to Viewers? If you can provide more details on how exactly your Guest interact with your boards, maybe we can figure out a way for them to still communicate without costing you so much extra.

While you may have added your account before we began enforcing the rule, it was technically still in the requirements for a guest to need a different email domain, which is why that access was lost after we began to enforce it.

UIC faculty/staff can sign themselves in by purchasing a daily entrance pass. In addition UIC faculty/staff are allowed to register up to five (5) guests for the day by paying a guest fee and filling out a waiver form. Affiliates, alumni, and registered non-fee paying students that are not active members can sign themselves in by purchasing a daily entrance pass, but cannot sign in additional guests. To purchase a daily entrance pass, a valid i-card is required for faculty/staff, affiliates, and registered non-fee paying students. Proof of graduation is required for alumni.

With guest access, you can provide access to teams, documents in channels, resources, chats, and applications to people outside your organization, while maintaining control over your corporate data. Anyone with a business or consumer email account, such as Outlook, Gmail, or others, can participate as a guest in Teams. If you haven't set up guest access yet, go through the steps in the Collaborate with guests in a team.

When you invite a guest to Teams, a guest account is created for them in Microsoft Entra ID and they are covered by the same compliance and auditing protection as other Microsoft 365 users. With Microsoft Entra B2B collaboration, you can enforce conditional access and multifactor authentication (MFA) policies for B2B users. These policies can be enforced at the organization, app, or individual user level, the same way that they are enabled for people inside your organization. For more information, see Authentication and Conditional Access for External Identities. Guest access is subject to Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft 365 service limits.

In Teams, guests are clearly identified. A guest's name includes the label (Guest), and a channel includes an icon to indicate that there are guests on the team. For more details, see What the guest experience is like.

Guests can leave the team at any time from within Teams. For details, see How do I leave a team?. (Leaving the team doesn't remove the guest account from your organization's directory. This must be done by a Microsoft Entra admin.)

Shared channels offer an alternative to guest access, allowing you to invite people outside your organization without requiring a guest account in Microsoft Entra ID. To compare guest access with shared channels, see Plan external collaboration.

Guests you have already added via Microsoft Entra B2B, Microsoft 365 Groups, or SharePoint are ready to go. Team owners can add those guests to their teams. If you add a guest directly to the Microsoft 365 group associated with a team, the guest will get access to the team but the Microsoft 365 group doesn't generate an invitation email to the guest, so someone on the team should notify the guest.

Guest access in Teams requires configuring other settings in Microsoft 365, including settings in Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365 Groups, and SharePoint. If you're ready to start inviting guests to teams, read one of the following:

Guest access can be used with all Microsoft 365 Business Standard, Microsoft 365 Enterprise, and Microsoft 365 Education subscriptions. No additional Microsoft 365 license is necessary. The billing model for Microsoft Entra External ID applies to guests in Microsoft 365. Only people from outside your organization can be invited as guests.

To troubleshoot issues with inviting guests in Teams, administrators can run a diagnostic tool in the Microsoft 365 admin center to validate that guest access is correctly configured for use in Teams.

The test results tell you if the tenant is configured correctly for guest access. If the tenant isn't configured correctly, the diagnostic provides information on what steps to take to address issues with the configuration.

You can track guest additions in Microsoft Entra ID or the Microsoft 365 security center. Adding a guest in Teams is audited and logged as a Microsoft Entra group administration activity "Added member to group". For more details, see Auditing and reporting a B2B collaboration user and Search the audit log.

You can use Microsoft Entra ID to create an access review for users who are in groups or teams or have been assigned to an application. Creating recurring access reviews can save you time. If you need to routinely review users who have access to an application, a team, or a group, you can define the frequency of those reviews.

You can perform a guest access review yourself, ask guests to review their own access, or ask an application owner or business decision maker to perform the access review. Reviews are done in Microsoft Entra ID. For more information, see Manage guest access with Microsoft Entra access reviews.

People using Microsoft 365 Groups can use Outlook on the web or Outlook for Windows to add and manage guests in their Microsoft 365 groups. Guests can have any email address, and their email account can be a work, personal, or school account.

When a guest is invited to join a group, they receive a welcome email message that includes a little information about the group and what they can expect now that they're a member. The message also includes a set of links to help them get started and connect to group resources.

All of the guest member's interactions occur through their email inbox. They can't access the group site but can receive calendar invitations, participate in email conversations, and, if the admin has turned on the setting, they can open shared files using a link or attachment.

All group email messages and calendar invitations the guest receives will include a reminder to use Reply all in responses to the group, along with links to view group files and leave the group. Here's an example:

Yes, you can. External mail contacts are contacts listed in your organization's global address list. An example of this type of contact is a vendor company who regularly provides services to your organization.

Your administrator must turn on the guest feature before you can add guests. When you see the message to contact your administrator, it's likely that the guest feature hasn't been turned on yet. See Manage guest access in Microsoft 365 Groups for more information.

You might get a non-delivery report when you reply to a group message with an email address that's different from the one you used when you joined or were added to the group. For example, if you joined the group as se...@contoso.com but try replying to a group message in your inbox from se...@service.contoso.com, you'll receive a non-delivery report.

Yes. Group members (not guests) can share Microsoft 365 group files with people outside the organization by using the Share control and selecting Specific people as the audience. You'll then enter the names or email addresses of the people you want to share the file with.

A modern attachment is a file stored on OneDrive for work or school. One link goes to all recipients. Because the file is stored in the cloud, all recipients can read and edit the file without having to reconcile individual copies.

In a Microsoft 365 group, modern attachments are only shared with members or guests of the group. When a message with a modern attachment is forwarded to a guest who is part of the group, he or she will be able to access the attachment after signing in with a username and password. If the message is forwarded to someone who isn't part of the group, that person won't be able to open the attachment.

Guests can find out what personal information of theirs the organization keeps, and how to request that all or some of it be deleted by selecting the Org Privacy Statement link at the bottom of welcome email they received.

It would also provide an unlimited number of licenses for home-sharing operations, where the homeowner remains on site, and for both whole-home and home-sharing hosts who welcome guests fewer than 20 days a year.

Throughout February, Martell and Civil are hosting weekly Clubhouse conversations with guests such as beauty brand owner Supa Cent, Lush Yummies Pie CEO Jennifer Lyle, founder of Girl CEO Ronne Brown, and entrepreneur Premadonna.
