Lots of climate talk and NOTHING about phasing out extraction of fossil fuels (oil, coal, gas, non-conventionals)!

It is clear as water that the root of the climate problem is burning fossil fuels and that we must stop extracting and burning them. Why don't "leaders" talk about this?

At the Leave it in the Ground Coalition (LINGO) we want to push this idea onto the UN agenda. Obviously we have failed so far. :(
So we must keep trying! We need a phase out of fossil fuel burning in the next couple of years to save what is dear to us. Please join us!

If you are involved in anti-extraction struggles in your country, you are doing the right thing. Here is a proposal for a new goal for the climate movement: closing down all mines and wells.

Let's cut the talk and do what's needed: fight the fight to keep the oil, gas and coal in the ground!

best wishes,

Kjell

P.S.: We are preparing some strategic guidance on how to win that global fight. Stay tuned!

We are on a mission to end the fossil age. A clean and safe future for ourselves and for our children will be powered 100% by renewable energy and fossil fuels will be left in the ground. Find out more about LINGO: http://leave-it-in-the-ground.org/
