Zeppelin mailing lists moving to Apache

As part of the Zeppelin project's recent move to Apache, we are planning to migrate the mailing lists to Apache infrastructure this month, so that the existing Google groups will become read-only on Feb 1, 2015. To keep receiving updates about Zeppelin or to participate in development discussions, please subscribe to the following lists:

• us...@zeppelin.incubator.apache.org -- for usage questions, help, and announcements. (subscribe) (archives)
• d...@zeppelin.incubator.apache.org -- for people who want to contribute code to Zeppelin. (subscribe) (archives)

Most users will probably want the User list, but individuals interested in contributing code to the project should also subscribe to the Dev list.

Hi, Lee, I have two questions:

1. is there an archive for the mailing list, which will make it easy to search specific topics and browse the mailing list history, just like spark's mailing list archive, here

2. I want to become a contributor of zeppelin, should I master node.js in order to contribute some code? and could you please provide some materials to make me [ or someone like me who want to contribute to zeppelin ] learn the internal, framework of zeppelin, I know just a little of js, some it seems too hard to read the source code at the first time. Thanks very much, zeppelin is really awesome

Currently, zeppelin's archive is under http://mail-archives.apache.org/mod_mbox/.

I think archiving mailing list using nabble.com is an good option.

Becoming a contributor of zeppelin is always welcome. Here's a simple (too simple) guide http://zeppelin-project.org/docs/development/howtocontribute.html.

To contribute code, Zeppelin's backend is mostly written in JAVA and front-end uses AngularJS. So if you're familiar with js, look into AngularJS will help you to understand how Zeppelin front-end works.

Please don't hesitate is you need some help.
