Please post your gameplay ideas here. There are likely to be a lot,
and it would be easiest to keep track of them if they make it here, in
one location (for now).

Here's a few features to start from. These will likely be options to
certain games:
- Players can report when they're out, so "Dead Men Walking" are
visible on the screen to other players.
- Respawning from bases after a timeout
- Field and allowed play area boundaries
- Game enhancers that "appear" on the screen that give advantages
(think like Mario question boxes) like extra lives, score bonuses,
free hit periods, extra player hits, etc.
- Virtual Flag - no need to rip off part of your T-shirt anymore, and
it automatically resets so you can play rally style like on Halo.
- Different radar modes (I would guess many of these could be
combined also):
- Friendly only
- Friendly and enemy
- Battlefront Style: Player location and direction only appear for
a set number of seconds after a shot is detected.
- Halo Style (from Eric Meeson): Player location and direction only
appear for a set number of seconds after moving faster than a set
velocity.

Here's a short list games I've thought of. Some are pretty standard,
some are from video games:
- Elimination - pretty straightforward, but can also add in a limited
number of respawns.

- King of the Hill - whenever a player controls the Hill, that
player's team score goes up until that player is hit, or an opponent
simultaneously occupies the "hill" zone. Hit players must respawn
from team's home base. Time limited game, at the end of which the
team that controlled the hill the longest wins. Could also add in a

- Capture the Flag - same as regular, but with a virtual flag

- Team Slayer - team with the most number of kills within a time
limit wins.

- Command & Conquer - like Star Wars Battlefront. Both teams start
with a rather high score (200 in BF), there are a certain number of
command posts around the field (around 6, marked by GPS coords). For
each hit, you lose a point. When a player maintains position at a
command post for a certain period of time (about 15 seconds in BF),
that team gains control of the command post and players can
subsequently respawn from there. When another team controls a higher
number of command posts, their score drops a point every so many
seconds (in BF 1 loss per command post about every 5-10 seconds). A
team loses when their score drops to zero.

Hopefully this stimulates some discussion. Eventually, I'd like to
move this to a Wiki page on the Google Code project, but for this
early in the brainstorming stage this is as good a place as any.
