Early signs of autism from birth to 2 years old:
Birth: no characteristic of autism.
3- 10 days old: no characteristic of autism.
4- 6 weeks old: often crying, but not because of he/she wants to ask
for something, like food.
3- 4 months old: Don't smile. When you try to play with he/she, he/she
will not smile. Cannot recognize the parents.
6- 7 months old: not interested in toys. When you want to give him/her
a hug, he/she won't offer his/her hands. When you lift him/her up, his/
her body is hard or flabby. Don't like to put head on the body of
adults. Don't talk to him/herself.
10- 12 months old: lack of interests to the surrounding. Looks
contented while along. Often cry for a long time. Behave as stiff as a
poker. Don't know how to play with toys. Repeat actions. Lack of eye
contact with the mother. Cannot distinguish who's who. Don't point to
people or things with fingers. Don't imitate behaviors. Speak slowly
or cannot speak.
21- 24 months old: Don't have a good sleep, never go to sleep all
night sometimes. Don't chaw food. Only eat conjee or something like
that. Like to stare at quiet things. Often fall over him/herself.
Lacks of eye contact. Lack of curiosity. Be afraid of the change of
the surrounding.
If your baby has most of the above symptoms, then she/he might have
autism. Take her/him to the hospital please. Don't miss the best time
to prevent autism.
