Phone Number - Need Integer data type instead of number or String with Regular Expression validation

We are capturing telephone numbers and although we've set the data type as numeric that doesn't prevent folks from entering a decimal point. This is where an integer data type would be useful.

Alternatively, can you create a Regular Expression validation option on a field that not only solves this issue but some others...

Hello,

There is also a Number field, where you can set the allowed decimal places to 0. I don't believe this would allow for dashes or spaces in the phone number, though.
