Greetings community!

I am Amitesh, an undergrad from India.

I have been crafting handy lilttle programs for my friends and I since high school. Would love to broaden my horizons and work on writing code for social good.

I have experience writing Python code. I also have experience writing C code, and of using libgtk. Which is why I would love to try my hand at the various relevant projects; Project 6 in particular, as it deals with improving accessibility for visually impaired and is aligned with my existing skillset.

What about the new version? Could you please contact the Pidgin team regarding this matter? If the new version includes accessibility features, this project may no longer be relevant.

An Issue, closed as "obsolete" over 2 years ago, discussed this. The reason it stated was that the upcoming version 3 of Pidgin would use GTK4 which would provide support for Windows screen readers and other accessibility tools.
So it seems that the issue is no longer relevant.
