Why hasn't the tree been tagged for v3.3.
The snapshots were very useful.

The tags weren't useful, they were just random and arbitrary.
If you want to get a snapshot, just get the latest from git. It's up to the packager or the individual adventurer to create versions out of the zen sources. In fact, if you wanted to ask me what version of the sources you should run, I'll always tell you the latest.
There's a article I wrote on the main page of zen-kernel.org. You should probably read it to find out tagging was phased out.
