Greetings,
I'm very interested in trying out zen kernel. Unfortunatelly, I'm stuck
with git, I can't find my way out.
I did this:
cd /usr/src
sudo git clone --depth 1 git://zen-kernel.org/kernel/zen-stable.git
linux-2.6-zen
And now I'm confused. I looked aat kernel-seeds.org and I can see that
the latest kernel seed is for 2.6.38.2.
So I downloaded it.
But when I type
sudo git tag
it shows me v2.6.38.xx but there is no zen extension, is this right?
I copied that kernel seed as .config file and
sudo make oldconfig
I answered some questions.
sudo make menuconfig
I can't find anything about bfs etc.
Am I doing anything right?
Oh, I'm blind, so that's why I don't use graphical configuration of kernel.
Thank you very much,
Vojta

Don't use git tags, then you'll be using zen.
