feature request for new friend system

With the new nickname system, I would like an option to save a note with each friend, so I know who they are. See attached pic for an example of how this would look. Obviously I know who my sister is, but for other players, it would be helpful to know who they are, so I can message them.

The reason this is important is that a huge part of this game is talking to other players to discuss trading: what do you need, do you have this fish, I can send this fish, et cet. Many of us use a Facebook group, and FB Messenger, to discuss trades.

I know one option is to keep an external document for my private use, but that is not user friendly.

I am at the point where I am hatching fish that take 37 hours, and I'm not going to send it to a random person. I'm going to message the people that I know I trade with frequently, to see if they need it. So if I could label that player xfish12 is really "Jane Smith", I could easily message Jane.

On the other hand, I do like that you have moved away from Facebook, because adding strangers to my FB was not enjoyable for me. I assume adding an in-game chat or message system would be resource and cost intense. So I'm not sure what the solution is.

Hi Patty,

Do note that you can still keep the Facebook connection on for your game - it acts as another backup for your progress, at the same time, the friends list will reflect the actual Facebook names of the players you have added as FB friends and in-game.

This is particularly useful if your Facebook account only has family and known friends that you constantly trade with. You can add a 'stranger' to your game friends list via their nicknames, without adding their Facebook accounts, especially if you know you are only trading with them temporarily.
