What about friends who are running IOS?

My wife runs ZK2 on her iPad Pro, and we share koi between us more than with anyone else. Now that she's listed as an "expired friend", how do we continue sharing?

Hi the new friend system is currently only for Android devices in this test group. In future we will roll out the same system for iOS devices as well, so that everyone can trade with each other. 

In the meantime, if you mostly trade with your wife on an iOS device, please click on this link and leave the programme. Then uninstall the app, and download it again from the Google Play Store.

Just a follow up to the question of gifting between Android and iOS. 

If both of you were mutual friends before the android update, both of you would still be able to gift Koi to each other. If you see "Friend expired" it means that the other person (not on the new version) does not have you on their friend's list. 

To add them back, the only way is for them to upgrade (however at the moment this update is only available for Android). 

We hope this clears up any misunderstanding!

Hi, I just exchanged koi fish with two iOS users. I kind of believe that the connection to iOS works, and the issue is android only. They were active and available to me since the beginning, appearing in the friends chart with no issues, and the sending works, and receiving too. I didn't have any major issues... I kind of believe it's very much random... maybe depending on vendor, machine, apps, wifi, bandwidth quality, or localization too??

I've realized than the newly registered users tend to appear with some delay. People posted new nicks on fb for me and they added me as friends but I didnt see it until I deleted their old facebook-named inactive profile from my friend list. Even those who added me themselves appeared delayed. Like, they wrote me one hour ago and i've seen them grayed out, and it fixed itself after a game restart i guess. It's interesting, I'm definitelly gonna watch it more.

Charles - I meant that maybe you could try to delete her and add again? But maybe leaving the beta is the best here, too.
