Just to inform you : I'm still working on it. I was not impressed at
all with the quality of the LaunchAngle data so the last weeks trying
to improve on my statistics knowledge, the math behind it and how to
program it.

Progress has been made and even found 1 shot in those 150+ calibration
shots where I think the TM was wrong and the PureLaunch was right by
around 4 mph :-)

I'll hope to have a next beta version ready next week. and will post
some screenshots. Those of you who would like to test it, just send me
an email and I will inform you where to download it.

I sold my Pure Launch on eBay. The winning bid was $1,520. I paid shipping which was about $80.

I will be taking delivery on a new FlightScope X-1 in early April.

make that 2 shots ;-)

New calcualtions are ready and checked. I will put them it into the
beta version and release that version tomorrow. Those who requested to
receive a version will receive a link to the download.

Current results for Ball speed :

95% of the test shots (144 shots) are within +/- 2.0 mph of the ball
speed measured by the TM
88% is within +/- 1.5 mph
77% is within +/-1 1.0 mph
57% is within +/- 0.5 mph
20% is the same as the TM speed.

Average deviation on all 144 shots 0.0 mph

Current results for Launch Angle:

72% of the test shots (43 shots) are within +/- 2 degree of the Launch
Angle measured by the TM
67% is within +/- 1.5 degree
42% is within +/-1.0 degree
21% is within +/- 0.5 degree
7% is the same as the TM Launch Angle

More important however is that the reason for a major part of the LA
deviations is found. The radar pods not only "measure" Launch Angle
but are also sensitive for the horizontal Launch Angle but as I can
see right now only in one direction!

---

Current plan :
1) Release a beta tomorrow
2) Start working on the clubspeed
3) When clubspeed is done, start working on Horz. Launch Angle.

I think I'm included in the testing but just checking...great work!

Could it be that some PL are more accurate then others as mine is very close
with my P3 when it comes to clubhead speed and distance (carry and total)?

Bob,

Distance (carry and total) are calculations. That both PL and P3
calculate the same is therefor just pure luck. Is your P3 measuring
ballspeed? My P3Pro doesn't measure ballspeed or spin. It was always
using a fixed smashfactor (forgot the exact value) to calculate
ballspeed. So on my P3Pro unit carry is ...well.... questionable.

I have not looked at the clubspeed yet only ballspeed. So for now I
can not provide detailed information about how good the current
Zelociy calculation for the clubspeed data is. The only thing I know
sure it that all pre-impact clubspeed data on the Zelocity is fake for
all PureLaunch software versions that I have tested.
