Asa passionate advocate for animal welfare, I am deeply concerned about the unjust treatment and potential destruction of the XL bully breed. This petition aims to shed light on the importance of responsible ownership and prevent innocent dogs from being unfairly punished due to reckless actions of their owners.

Personal Story:

I have had the privilege of sharing my life with many XL bully breeds in my family and friend circle. Theyare not only a loyal companion but also a gentle, loving member of our family. Their affectionate nature, intelligence, and unwavering loyalty have shattered any preconceived notions I once held about this incredible breed.

It breaks my heart to witness how these dogs are often stigmatized due to misconceptions perpetuated by media sensationalism and lack of understanding. The truth is that it is not the dog's fault but rather the owner's responsibility to ensure proper training, socialization, and care.

Facts and Statistics:

1. According to multiple studies conducted by reputable organizations such as the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), there is no evidence supporting that specific breeds are inherently more aggressive than others.

2. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) states that breed-specific legislation (BSL), which targets certain breeds like XL bullies, has proven ineffective in reducing dog bite incidents.

3. Responsible ownership programs focusing on education, training, spaying/neutering initiatives have been proven successful in reducing dog-related incidents across various communities.

Petition Goal:

Our goal is simple yet crucial - we urge lawmakers at all levels to reconsider any plans or policies that would result in destroying innocent XL bully breeds based solely on their appearance or breed classification. Instead, we propose implementing comprehensive responsible ownership programs that focus on educating owners about proper care techniques while holding them accountable for their pets' behavior.

By signing this petition, we can collectively make a significant impact in protecting the lives of countless XL bully breeds who deserve a chance to thrive in loving homes. Let us stand together and advocate for justice, compassion, and fairness towards these remarkable dogs.

Together, we can ensure that no more innocent lives are lost due to the actions of irresponsible owners. Sign this petition today and help us protect our beloved pets from unjust destruction.

Democracy is in crisis throughout the world. And courts play a key role within this process as a main target of populist leaders and in light of their ability to hinder administrative, legal, and constitutional changes. Focusing on the ability of courts to block constitutional changes, this Article analyzes the main tensions situated at the heart of democratic erosion processes around the world: the conflict between substantive and formal notions of democracy; a conflict between believers and nonbelievers that courts can save democracy; and the tension between strategic and legal considerations courts consider when they face pressure from political branches.

At its core, this Article argues that courts have an important role in protecting democracy against constitutional reforms eroding the constitutional order and that courts should stand firm against pressure so they can do their best to protect democracy, even if they cannot save democracy on their own.

A way a child is educated affects how she/he learns to learn and function in society. The early education and interactions often have long term if not life time implications. A key dysfunction noted in society is bullying and school systems are working hard at fixing it notably by defending the bullied but often no one protects the bully.

I recently re-downloaded bully on my computer and completed the game! I want to play it again, but I was wondering if I press restart will that delete my previous save? I don't want to lose my progress I just want to play through the game again.

You can have up to six save files in original Bully (I don't know about Scholarship edition, but I bet it won't be lower than 6.) When you start the game, you start on the last opened save file. Let's say that this is your original save file.

In the pause menu, you can hit Restart, which will start a new save file. You can then save the new save file to a different slot. This action(Restart) alone won't delete your original save file, but if you accidentally overwrite your original save file with your new save file, the original will be gone. So be careful when choosing slot. Or maybe save your original save file to another slot before hitting Restart, so that you can have backup.

If you start on your new save file (as I said earlier, the game starts with last opened save file, so it'll be likely your new save file) but want to play your original save file, you can choose to load your file from the pause menu (it's at above of Restart.)

Britain is famously a nation of dog lovers. But XL Bullys are currently testing that theory. A spate of attacks by the much-maligned dogs, several of them fatal, has prompted the government to legislate to ban the breed. But not everyone is keen to see the back of them. Last Saturday, a protest took place in Sheffield city centre which called on the government to think again about the ban. I went along to meet the people trying to save XL Bullys, and a few days later met one myself.

? On at the Crucible Theatre for one night only on Saturday, 4 November, Never Look Back is a historical fictional retelling of the real-life Kings African Rifles (KAR), a regiment made up of soldiers from East and Southern African Commonwealth nations that fought on behalf of Great Britain in WWII. Following the performance there will be a Q&A and feedback session with the creative team and cast. Tickets are priced from 5-10 and doors open at 7pm.

XL Bullys have been in the UK for around a decade, but only in the last few years have they regularly made national headlines, and not in a good way. A series of attacks, some of them fatal, led to calls for a ban. In 2021, 10-year-old Jack Lis from Caerphilly in South Wales was mauled to death by a XL Bully named Beast. After a man in Stonnall, near Birmingham, was killed by two XL Bullys this September, the government decided to act.

🚌 Further cuts to bus services in South Yorkshire mean some areas will now only have one bus every two hours. Weekend and evening services will be worst hit, while kids’ fares will increase from 80p to £1. First Bus said the changes would “improve punctuality and reliability” but the cuts were widely criticised, including by South Yorkshire Mayor Oliver Coppard who said they left us nowhere near the London-style public transport system that was promised.

🏥 A really interesting interview in the New Statesman with Sheffield City Council’s Greg Fell, who is now the leading public health director in England. Fell led Sheffield through two years of Covid, but the focus of his attention has now turned back to non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease and cancer, which are actually far bigger killers. Our piece from 2022 about Greg Fell’s two years on the Covid front line can be read here.

🖼️ Tributes have been paid to Sheffield music promoter and artist Martin Bedford, who died on Tuesday. Bedford was one of the driving forces behind the early days of The Leadmill, and also created instantly recognisable gig posters for countless bands over four decades. One of the many paying tribute was Reverend and The Makers’ lead singer Jon McClure. “My heart is broken,” he posted on Twitter. “Martin was a lovely guy. Right character and a talented illustrator too.”
