Portland Zday is next weekend! I have heard some confusion about the date over the last week or so, possibly due to the international Zday in
Canada being the following weekend. You can share the event details with friends on
facebook here or the latest updates on our
website. Here are the details as they currently stand:
Sunday, March 4th 12:00PM to 6:00PM
University Place Hotel & Conference Center - Columbia Falls Ballroom
310 SW Lincoln Street
Portland, OR 97201
Celebrate the Spirit of the times this Zday with Zeitgeist PDX, as we reflect on community activism this past year and into the future!
Join us on Sunday, March 4th starting at noon for presentations, discussions, information tables, videos, music and refreshments!
Come hear presentations by Portland activists and organizations about what they are doings to help shift the community toward environmental and social sustainability at this critical time. Then engage in unconference style discussions to add your voice and explore directions that we can take together to become part of a more sane community.
There is a $10 suggested donation, No one turned away for lack of funds. Any proceeds after event expenses will go to the Oregon Food Bank.
“Zeitgeist Day”, or ZDAY for short, is an annual, global event day which occurs in March of each year. Zeitgeist PDX is the Portland chapter of the The Zeitgeist Movement, a sustainability advocacy organization which conducts community based activism and awareness actions through a network of Global/Regional Chapters, Project Teams, Annual Events, Media and Charity Work. Founded in 2008, after the viral success of the Movie Zeitgeist: Addendum by Peter Joseph presented the Resource-Based Economy concept developed by Jaqcue Fresco and his Venus Project.
