maximum text message size

I am using ad based text messages. Here is the first part of a message
I sent:

(1/2) rteam: test long This is a much longer message This is a much *
Learn How,Mobile Apps for $$$. http://zeep.me/SRG3B

My part of the message is 68 chars long (give or take a space)
The add is 52 chars long (give or take a space)

I thought ad based message could be 120 chars long and the ad was only
40.

The entire message here is 121 chars.

Could I be doing something wrong in my API call to Zeep Mobile?
Anyone have any ideas why I am not even getting close to the 120 char
message size?
