During my "quality" meeting with FC just few minutes before, I raised a pertinent issue of dismal show of margin in sandwich, donut and grill category. She instead asked me if my employees are doing "plus selling" of these items. When I asked her to guide me how can I make these categories better, she said I have to figure it out.

Because she doesn't hv the answer. WE kno what the problem is: lack of advtg, corporate's control of mix, minimized infrastructure, competition fm everyone and their Mother incl SEI, MMs, FCs, ZLs, top execs ignorance of the system, the stifling of entrepreneurship. They claim they spent $42mlion on advtg in 2012. How much of that was offset by vendor contributions & coop advtg? How much did they spend in 2013?? When they say "advertising", they don't mean media, they mean POP!!
Won't be long till they put the company up for sake.
